Vision, that is what the Lord has put in our hearts. He has placed a sprouted seed that he wants us to tend to.
Of course He is the Master Gardner but He uses workers in the field. He says that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few – Luke 10:2
The harvest that the Lord wants me to tend is the Skater harvest (Skate Boarders). He placed a desire in us to plow these fields that continue to grow, with the fertilizer and seed of the word of God and the message of Repentance and Salvation!
The growth I am talking about is the amount of new teenagers who start skating each day, here in the USA and across the world.
Its been sometime since the day that He (The Lord) put skaters on my heart and I still have this vision planted in my heart. I am just a regular Joe (pun intended) and no body with any “status.” But I do know that this desire and vision is burning in my chest to come out and to become a reality.

Its the vision God has placed in our hearts to:
- Open a skate park
- Open a skate shop.
- Produce a Christian skate board magazine
- Start a Christian skater TV show
- All the above is to bring Glory to God and spread HIS message!
Meanwhile, while we wait upon the Lord to open doors, we go out and hang around the skaters in our area and become known to them. So they will become familiar with our faces and who we are.
One day back on Long Island NY, I drove about 9 skaters cramped into my Jeep Cherokee and brought them to an office building where they jump the stairs. That was a fun day. I enjoy hanging with these young guys (and girls) and watch them skate and do their thing. – Joey Basta
Doors constantly open for us to befriend and witness to skaters. This to us is a sign that The Lord wants us for this assignment.
