A few weeks ago Carmin and I went to the Port Orange Family Days event here in Florida. We were involved with our Church to be a part of setting up at tent and talking to people about Jesus.
From time to time Carmin and I would take a break and walk around the area of the event. We handed out our Street Knights business cards to a bunch of skaters as we walked around.
The next day we headed back to our Church tent at the event. We were there for about 30 to 40 minutes. I had my skateboard leaning on the table and 2 skaters came right up to me and asked what we were doing and asked about my board. Carmin and I started to talk to them about the Lord and what HE has done for them.
It was amazing, they were so receptive and open to what we had to share with them. After our sharing, I asked them if they wanted to ask for forgiveness of their sins and accept the Lord ….. they said YES!
Carmin and I prayed with them and led them to the Lord. It was such an awesome feeling to be used by the Lord to bring these 2 young skaters to Jesus. Their names are Ky and Kyle, both 14 yrs old.
Since then Carmin gave them a call to see how they are doing and invited them and their families to Church.
Kyle unfortunately hurt his ankle skating and can’t skate for a while. We are praying for a quick recovery and healing so he can begin to skate again. And Ky’s mom says they are in the process of moving and that she doesn’t want him making any new friends.
Keep Kyle & Ky (Who are best friends) in your prayers. We know the enemy hates when someone gives their lives over to Jesus.
We will continue to reach out to Kyle and to continue to pray for him. We hope we see him come to Church one day.
(Please continue to partner with us in prayer, that we are able to continue to reach out to skaters. Visit our Help SKSM page to see how we need your partnership)
